This is where the ‘lightbulb’ moments occur within the coaching space. Insight is powerful. One of the core coaching competencies as defined by the International Coaching Federation is to “Evoke Awareness” for our clients. Awareness is crucial to making effective decisions and choices

The purpose of coaching is to create a space in which it can more readily emerge, be identified, and be translated into self-awareness so generally, in a coaching session, after we have identified where the client is at and what they want to achieve, we help to create a plan of action to achieve it.

This becomes the first level of awareness

Then we continue by helping the client define their current situation or reality, envisage their desired outcome, then design an actionable, chunked-down plan to achieve that outcome

We follow a simple 3-step process viz:
1 Awareness,
2 Strategy; and
3 Consistency

“All change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end.”
